Hi Parents,
It is almost time for our winter break to begin. When the students return, we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss, his birthday is March 2nd, with daily school wide activities. Below is the schedule. The activities are optional, but we would love for students to participate:
Mrs. Colley and I would like to thank you for all of our valentine treats that we received on Tuesday from the students. We were showered with flowers, candy and valentine cards!! The students loved opening their valentines and seeing all of their goodies inside their boxes. I hope everyone enjoys the week off, Mrs. East

Hi Parents,
We have been very busy getting ready for Dads for Donuts. We will entertain our dads with songs and enjoy some juice, coffee and donuts on February 9th at 7:30. Dad, please be here on time! If your child's bus is not one of the early ones, please bring them with you. Next week, we will learn all about George Washington and the Washington Monument for our Social Studies standards. During our phonics lessons, we are learning that silent "e" at the end of the word makes the vowel say its name. We will compare numbers in Math and continue with addition word problems and facts. Directions for making a valentine box and class list for addressing valentines will come home on Monday. We are going to give you time to work on addressing your valentines and work on your boxes for homework for several nights next week, as we know this takes time. Get ready for the Tritt Family Dance next Friday, February 10th at Tritt. This is a big family fun event. The students love coming and dancing with their classmates as well as with Mrs. East. The theme is "Hollywood" so get your outfits ready now! I hope to see everyone there. The Kindergarten session is from 6:00-7:00. Field Trip forms for Diamond Dell are due on February 10th. Thanks for your help with this.
