Hi Parents,
Thank you to all the parents that came and helped with the making of our Billy Goats. We could not have done it without you!! Next week, we will be making bridges out of carrots and toothpicks. Next week, we will read Rumplestiltskin and Jack and the Beanstalk. We will look for characteristics of a fairy tale. Ask your child to tell you some characteristics of a Fairy Tale. We will write about our favorite parts of these stories in our Fairy Tale Journals. In Math, we are working on solving addition and subtraction word problems, writing numbers to 20 to label sets and writing numbers that come before and after a given number. We will learn about the Statue of Liberty, one of our national symbols, to meet one of our Social Studies standards for this nine weeks.
